11 Ways to Afford a Doula

Doulas are valuable, here’s some tips on how to afford one:

1. invest your tax returns to your birth plan/ doula

2. ask your doula if they accept payment plans

3. ask your doula if they have gift certificates available for family and friends to chip in on

4. ask your doula for a customized package

5. add doula service to your baby registry

6. add doula services to your holiday wish list

7. consult with your health insurance to determine if doula services is included in your insurance package

8. use a credit card

9. sell items you don’t need/ use for extra cash (also gives extra space when baby arrives!)

10. use FSA health savings plan

11. and the most obvious one of all: SAVE, SAVE, SAVE
